Born December 19, 2005, in Peekskill, New York, John Troia, known in music circles as Jtti, is an up-and-coming songwriter and musical artist of Puerto Rican and Sicilian descent. Initially, his family lived in the Bronx in New York; however, his early years were spent moving from place to place, mainly within the New York district.
Jtti began dealing with obstacles and challenges very early on. His family persistently struggled with poverty, and the constant relocating made it challenging to have any meaningful stability in his life. Coupled with this, he grew up with an absent father and quickly learned to develop a thick skin and fend for himself. Jtti openly embraces the pain of his upbringing with the rising star stating that all the battles he has faced have only served as motivation to keep pushing and to one day lift his family out of their financial challenges.
The one bright spark throughout Jtti’s journey has always been music. He discovered that he had a flair for music and devoted himself to it, listening to industry greats and honing his skills and talent until he eventually began writing his own songs and gaining popularity locally.
