In so many places, the art scene often claims to embrace all forms of art but often tends to undermine urban art styles. Galleries are very picky with who they want to exhibit, leaving many artists searching for other venues to showcase their works. Fortunately, Soli Corbelle addressed this problem by creating the Lush Art Agency.
Soli Corbelle is an art dealer and advisor with over fourteen years of experience in the field. From a young age, she was surrounded by art as she lived in a home of collectors and attended weekly art history classes at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. By fifteen, Soli would start working at auction houses, museums, and galleries. She would work at establishments like Phillips, Sotheby’s, The Estate of Jack Tworov , and Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia.
Outside of the art world, Soli also has experience working in fashion and interior design. At twenty-five, she would become one of the directors of the New York flagship of an international gallery with over fifteen locations worldwide. Soli would later leave to pursue work as a private advisor to distinguished collectors around the world while consulting for and partnering with renowned galleries in New York and Europe.
In 2019, Soli Corbelle created Lush Art Agency, a New York-based Art agency and gallery that works with collectors, designers, and artists worldwide. They specialize in the contemporary blue-chip market. Lush Art Agency is a space that allows street art and luxury art to co-exist. Soli has featured several artists since the creation of Lush Art Agency. Their latest featured artist is a contemporary artist named Stevie Chow.
Stevie Chow is a Canadian artist who made his breakthrough this year. He has quickly become a master at eliciting positive energy through his paintings and garnered a growing recognition in the United States and the UK. His work can be found in public and private collections around the world. Chow’s style stands between pop culture, street art, and conceptual art.
His aim as an artist is to focus on representing the dichotomies between material and spiritual fulfillment. Chow uses familiar elements like money and gold, bright colors and bold lines, and overlaid with uplifting text prompts to achieve his artistic goals. His style is recognizable for its polished and refined exteriors. Much like the human experience, Chow’s works continue to expand in complexity, the more it is observed within the layers.
Stevie Chow takes inspiration from his childhood, having grown up exploring the world thanks to parents who were passionate about travel and photography. During that time, he was exposed to a wide array of cultures and grew an early fascination with his desires and obsessions around material wealth benefits.
On December 9, Steve Chow held his first-ever virtual exhibition featuring a series of new paintings titled “The Money Series” at Lush Art Agency. The show will be running for three weeks and will be accessed through Lush Art Agency’s website and Artsy page.
