SoundSight LLC, the brainchild of industry veteran filmmaker and actor Ashton Montague Segree, is rewriting the script on what it means to be a production company in Hollywood. Founded in 2019, SoundSight has quickly risen through the ranks to become one of the few black-owned Visual Effects Production Companies with a full-scale Media Division.
Ashton Segree, a visionary in his own right, recognized the dire need for more black-owned entertainment companies in an industry where only 4% of all media in the U.S. is Black-Owned. With this mission in mind, SoundSight was born, alongside a commitment to creating content that inspires positive change and resonates with audiences from all walks of life.
What sets SoundSight apart is not just its groundbreaking mission but also its unique approach to talent acquisition. Segree believes in giving opportunities to underappreciated talent and nurturing them to grow and thrive within the industry. With an extensive internship program that has already impacted over 200 interns since its inception, SoundSight is not just a production company; it’s a platform for empowerment and growth.
The company’s expansion from Philadelphia to Los Angeles marks a significant milestone in its journey. With a team of creatives, including directors, editors, fight choreographers, and music composers, SoundSight is poised to make a lasting impression on the world’s entertainment capital. Leveraging Segree’s 20 years of experience and strong industry relationships, SoundSight’s group has already collaborated with major brands such as Atlantic Records, Reebok, Spotify, and NBC Sports Radio, solidifying its position as a force to be reckoned with.
At the heart of SoundSight’s expansion lies its new VFX department, consisting of the world’s top VFX artists. From CGI to animation, 3D modeling to product rendering, SoundSight offers a comprehensive suite of services tailored to meet the evolving demands of the digital landscape for any creative or brand, and it also looks to pioneer the film industry using VFX to tell stories in new and innovative ways. Their debut feature film, “The Oranges,” promises to showcase the full extent of their VFX capabilities with a gripping Sci-Fi Thriller set in a not-so-distant future.
“The Oranges” story explores the U.S. in the year 2050, where privacy is sacrificed for a sense of safety when the government mandates that all citizens implant an A.I. eye device, constantly monitoring them, and the group of rebels known as “The Oranges” fighting to free society from its electronic chains. It’s a timely and thought-provoking narrative that encapsulates the essence of SoundSight’s mission: to create meaningful stories that spark change.
As SoundSight continues to break barriers and push boundaries, it invites audiences to join them on their journey. Through their website, social media platforms, and YouTube channel, they offer a glimpse into the future of storytelling—one that is diverse, inclusive, and unapologetically bold.
SoundSight LLC is not just a production company; it’s a movement—a true testament to the power of storytelling used to shape our world and inspire generations to come. As they say in Hollywood, “Lights, camera, action!” SoundSight is ready to take center stage.
