Stilton Butchers Brings Fine Dining to Homes Across the United Kingdom

Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic forced the shutdown of countless restaurants worldwide, people have been struggling to find places that offer fine dining to celebrate momentous occasions in their lives, like anniversaries, birthdays, and proposals. Providing quality meat for candle-lit quality time with a loved one at home, Stilton Butchers has made the shift online and is now conducting door-to-door deliveries to homes across the United Kingdom.

Built in 1978 in a village called Stilton near Peterborough, United Kingdom, Stilton Butchers is a long-standing brick-and-mortar shop that began as a local success before expanding nationally. Once created to serve only the nearby residents, it branched out and started primarily satisfying the demand for quality meat in the catering sector.

From cafes, pubs, and eating establishments all over the United Kingdom, to the top and celebrity Michelin-star restaurants, the butcher shop became the preferred choice for high-quality and award-winning meat.

“I built the business alongside my father, Peter Morgan, who sadly passed away last year,” Stilton Butchers’ owner James Morgan reveals. “We realized there was an ever-growing demand for high-quality meat to be delivered directly to your door, alongside the growth of home deliveries from the big supermarket brand. We really believe in the business, everything we stand for, and we offer a service that the supermarkets can’t match.”

Shaping his brand to become an excellent alternative to supermarkets, James decided to offer an online service for Stilton Butchers. However, only when lockdowns were announced did he choose to make the virtual shop its prime presence in the industry.

After redeveloping its website, the butcher shop rapidly grew its clientele and generated an avalanche of positive reviews. “We turned all our focus to our retail customer base by redeveloping our website, hiring more staff, and investing in delivering nationwide,” James shared.

The change in focus transformed the £7 million turnover catering business into a jaw-dropping £15 million retail butcher business. Almost instantly, sales skyrocketed, and in less than a year, Stilton Butchers was taking in over 5,000 orders each month instead of the 500 orders it used to receive.

To cater to the countless orders and its expanding clientele, James Morgan had to develop a unique and innovative system that would serve its local clients and those nationwide with the same high-level efficiency.

In this system, the orders are received either online or by telephone before the shop’s expert butchers cut and prepare the fresh meat. The meat will then be delivered locally by refrigerated vans or nationwide by courier in a high-performance, thermal-insulated package that keeps the product under 5°C for up to 72 hours.

From the meat to the packaging, to the delivery and the service, Stilton Butchers is slowly becoming a nationwide household name as a butcher shop of high and award-winning standards. Introducing a refreshing way to dine at home in style, the shop continues to grow its services and reputation.

Browse through its services and follow Stilton Butchers as it delivers Michelin star-restaurant standard meat delivered right to the front door. The butcher shop is available on its official website
