The Unicorn Taming Entrepreneur Empowering Thousands and Saving Sea Life

Terry McGinnis is a British entrepreneur with Los Angeles roots, more specifically those in Malibu. He’s the founder of one of the fastest growing start-ups in the UK tech space, Online Shop, serving hundreds of thousands of web visitors and thousands of shoppers who are catered to via extensive product ranges with products coming from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Microsoft and Kering family of brands.

Having co-founded a venture capital and asset management company Veriaty in Miami, with current lead investor Robin Vauvelle, spearheading marketing efforts for the likes of Warner Brothers and Universal in Los Angeles and working alongside some of the biggest fashion, gaming and even tech studios and companies, before quitting it all to go and live a “zen” life in Japan, Terry has found himself with a new found purpose of sharing his skills and expertise with a hungry audience of viewers, aiming to learn every intricate detail of marketing, sales and business development which has fuelled the unprecedented growth of his own company, since it’s official inception in April and a pivot to a marketplace centric platform in late August.

Terry is hoping to empower thousands of young and old entrepreneurs who have found themselves with an entrepreneurial itch to scratch due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has sent shockwaves throughout the world, having most impacted the travel and leisure industry.

“It’s something I always wanted to do, I hate seeing people be charged for courses that don’t do much – I want to share the same ideas and processes I have learned over the years with my viewers, and hopefully empower them and help them succeed, or at least provide them the right stepping stones in their entrepreneurial journey.”

Terry’s channel, which can be found here, debuted to great success with newly found interest in business building from those who have been thinking of starting a business, and who now have the opportunity either in part to the COVID-19 pandemic or furlough schemes. Terry has also taken the mantle of Head of Growth for an experiences booking platform, Beyonk co-founded by Oscar White and Antony Jones of Svelte fame. He’s hoping to provide the necessary help and expertise to skyrocket the company’s scalability to that of a yet another British unicorn, with European and International expansion already looming on the horizon. Terry also is providing free help and advice on his personal website, where viewers can write in and ask burning questions.

He’s also aiming to use this new gained momentum from both new viewers and old followers from his previous work, to uplift and promote Only One, a division of Sea Legacy aiming to save the seas and life within them.

“It’s something that is very important to me, having grown up in Malibu, going surfing or swimming and exploring is part of everyday life. I’m hoping to send this message across all of the content I produce, both on and off YouTube.
