ThykSkynn Effectively Combines Fashion and Body Armor to Keep Users Safe

In the past years, a lot of lives have been lost to senseless shooting incidents in the United States, robbing families of the lives of their loved ones. Mass shooting incidents in the country have also occurred shockingly in the past ten years since 2009, killing 1,351 individuals according to the Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund Analysis data. The past decade has recorded a total of 237 mass shooting incidents around the country, making countless people feel unsafe in public, even in broad daylight. ThykSkynn CEO Michael Allen is proactively bringing back safety in every home by creating fashionable bulletproof apparel.

ThykSkynn’s main mission is to protect its users by spreading peaceful protection around the world for every man, woman, and child who feels that they need added protection in their community. This also includes preserving their energy, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Well-aware of the many senseless crimes involving guns happening around the country, Allen wants to provide a peaceful option for staying safe to as many people as he can. Before developing his company, Allen served as a police officer for nine years in the City of Atlanta.

The black-owned company has a wide array of bulletproof items from business vests to backpacks that can be worn even by young children, vests with hoodies for kids, and vests for women. The Atlanta-based company uses lightweight level IIIA Kevlar that has a unique and reliable ability to stop anything from a 44. Magnum handgun to anything below its capacity. Allen made sure that every bulletproof vest can be custom-made, can be worn in multiple ways, and individually hand-stitched to guarantee its genuine outcome. Allen only works with the best designers in Atlanta so he can live up to the brand’s phenomenal objective, to protect its users from bullets.

“What motivated me to build my own brand was that I was tired or seeing innocent people of colour being killed without reason. I saw a need for a way that my people could feel like they have a second chance at life. I saw a vision of an innocent man/ woman being mistakenly shot by an officer and instead of the officer being the only side of the story told, the victim would now be able to speak on their behalf in court,” the ThykSkynn CEO explains.

Michael Allen was so driven to develop his brand that he motivated himself to learn how to sew in order to bring life to the kind of design he envisioned. His newfound passion enabled him to create the most inspiring and fashionable designs in a very short period of time. Aside from his bulletproof vests, Allen also developed a line of comfortable and trendy apparel that includes workout clothes for both men and women, shirts, ball caps, and face masks, among others.

More than being known as a bulletproof vest manufacturer, Allen wants ThykSkynn to be recognized as a lifestyle symbol that exemplifies true peace in mind, body, and spirit. By giving his users a good chance at surviving an untoward incident such as an indiscriminate shooting incident, Allen is selling hope and giving people an opportunity to survive a senseless crime.
