Timoi’s Cute Kawaii-Like Characters Designed To Inspire Humanity

Timoi, founded by a non-binary person, incorporates art with an eco-friendly utility brand and a supportive, inclusive community.

Susana De Leon is an extraordinary artistic talent, which is evident in their eccentric, otherworldly, imaginative, and creative characters. The characters’ personalities are what set them apart from everyone else in the industry. Susana, now known as Timoi, is a conceptual artist known for their motley characters with big wide eyes. Timoi is a lifestyle artist brand. They are an online novelty, gift, apparel, art and accessories store featuring Timoi’s art, including handbags, t-shirts, art prints, home décor, and other items.

Timoi’s Beginnings

At 19, Susana wanted a unique name for writing graffiti, so one night they drew something and titled it “Trapped In My Own Imagination.” It was at this point that Susana discovered their graffiti name, and decided to sign every piece of art with TIMOI from then on. Timoi began painting characters all over Los Angeles in 1995. In 2003, they had a literal dream with a cute, big bright-eyed character who basically told them their story, and that Timoi had to paint them and grow with them. As a result, Timoi named that character, Calo.

In 2020, Timoi discussed starting a brand with their sister, Maritza Valdez, and her husband, Alfonso Valdez. So, they decided to invest in the brand and officially establish it with an LLC and trademark in January 2021. Timoi, a non-binary individual, is a well-known graffiti artist who inspires many young artists. They are a social issues activist, which is also an advocate for mental health and LGBTQ+.

Beyond Art

Timoi provides their fans and collectors with fresh products, which means they are made from scratch when an order is placed. This enables them to offer top-of-the-line products. Each item is handcrafted with care. This enables them to cut their carbon footprint. They also carry plus sizes, making their products available to people of all sizes. Timoi even sells NFT digital art.

They cater to the young who enjoy art and all things cute and kawaii. The majority of their fans enjoy music and attend music festivals, concerts, raves, alternative and kawaii fashion, and art. Their target audience consists primarily of women, LGBTQ+ individuals, some men, fans of comic cons, anime, Japanese and American pop culture.

They have recently completed a mural at Muscle Beach Venice and it can be seen when stores close early in the morning or late at night. Timoi will be featured as an artist in the LA Rising Star art show, which will take place at the Hive Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles. Timoi is currently working on paintings for that show while also adding new designs to their fashion collections.

Timoi is more of an artistic experience. Timoi provides community, a club to join, inspiration, and motivation, all while offering high-quality products and striving to be eco-conscious. Timoi welcomes people of all races, ethnicities, and genders. Timoi is also very immersed in the metaverse and began early in 2021, making it one of the first brands to embrace NFTs.

The more you learn about Timoi, the more immersed you become in another world through their vision. Their alien and angelic characters entice you to join the club. If you have a good heart and a desire to make a difference in the world, you’ve come to the right place.
