Everyone has their way of playing Solitaire. Some people like to take their time, and others are more aggressive in their strategy. Regardless of your style, there are a few tips and tricks you can use to become an ultimate online Solitaire speedrunner! In this article, we’ll cover some of the best techniques for shaving seconds off your game times. So read on and see how you can improve your skills!

Choose a Fast Computer

When you solitaire, the first and most important tip to become a speedrunner is to pick a computer that can make quick work of your game. If you happen to have a laptop with an 80-second boot time, it’s going to take much longer for your rounds to finish, which will hurt your final score.  It doesn’t have to be a powerhouse – even a 5-year-old computer can run Solitaire perfectly fine – but it should be powerful enough that you won’t experience any slowdown during your rounds.

Stick With a Classic Mode

This might seem like a no-brainer, but the quickest games of Solitaire are those played in Klondike mode. The reason for this is that the game’s timer does not start until after you have dealt all seven stacks of cards. Games played in Spider are probably the next fastest, followed by FreeCell and Pyramid. So if you want to cut down on your time spent waiting for your computer to complete its moves, stick with Klondike.

Better Visibility

The larger your screen size, the easier it will be to see all of your cards. A standard monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or higher is ideal for making quick work of dealing and finding card matches. If you have a smaller monitor, then we recommend tweaking your Solitaire settings so that you can see as many cards at once as possible.

Watch Speedrun Videos For Inspiration

There are a ton of speedrunners for Klondike Solitaire out there, and their videos can be a good source of inspiration for improving your own time. Watching how they deal with each stack and finding ways to squeeze extra seconds from your rounds can help you shave precious seconds off your time. And don’t forget about those keyboard shortcuts – knowing when and where to use them can be the difference between finishing your round in 20 seconds or 40.

Understand The Game Mechanics

It might seem like common sense, but familiarizing yourself with how Solitaire works will help you play faster Knowing the rules of dealing cards and finding pairs can speed up your game time considerably. And don’t forget about all those extra moves Solitaire throws at you! Knowing the rules for when to move cards between stacks or redeals will give you an edge when it comes to optimizing your score.

Practice

Finally, the best way to improve your Solitaire speedrunning skills is by doing it as often as possible. You can always play free solitaire online whenever you have a few spare minutes – while listening to podcasts or audiobooks during your commute, for example. If you’re able to practice daily, then you will be ready to play at any time! When you feel comfortable playing, try to beat your Wins and Average Round times. Your first goal should be to cut down on your boot and deal times so that you can play as many games as possible in every session!

With a few simple tips and tricks, you can become an ultimate Solitaire speedrunner. Whether you’re looking to get faster at Klondike classic mode or just want some of the most important keys for success in this game, we have everything that you need right here! If you follow these tips and put in enough practice time, then it won’t be long before your speedrunning solitaire skills hit new levels.
