6 Digital Signage Examples in LA

Displays that use digital technology are a clear indicator of the current era. Entertainment, promotions, and important announcements are shown on vibrant displays worldwide, from Times Square to Tokyo. However, modern screens are capable of far more than just cycling between a few static pictures. They are the public representation of an underground computer network. The administrators of an online platform connect the material with the audience for whom it was created. Additionally, artificial intelligence tools and touchscreens in an information kiosk are responsible for transmitting data from the edge to the cloud.

Even while displays, edge computing, and networking are becoming more affordable, some municipal administrators still feel that budgetary constraints will prevent them from embracing the technology. However, they can solve that problem by generating more cash via advertising. Public space operators need to develop a business strategy to make the financial investment in a digital signage network worthwhile. Advertising is becoming an increasingly important component in making this work.

Within sign districts in Los Angeles, including downtown LA and LAX, digital signage is permitted to be used. These signs are helpful at establishments of varying sizes because of their widespread popularity. On the streets of Los Angeles, some of the most notable examples of digital signage are as follows:

  1. American Junkie

This is a well-known chain of sports bars that you can find in both Arizona and the state of California. Displays are put on every available wall space in the pub; some of the screens display sporting events, while the other screens are essential for communicating with patrons about different topics. Some of the information consists of upcoming happy hours, special events, and live performances by DJs or bands.

  1. CREAM

Ice cream and cookies are CREAM’s (Cookies Rule Everything Around Me) primary products, a company in California and Nevada. The corporation has put digital displays to provide entertainment for the consumers waiting in the lengthy lineups. The screen displays a live Twitter feed with the hashtag #CREAMNATION. Also, it hosts contests in which users have the opportunity to win prizes by posting images of their experience on Instagram. In addition, the firm has menu boards on its 14 other sites, including the one in Los Angeles.

  1. LAX International Terminal

Even though it is not physically located on the street in Los Angeles, the Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is one of the most impressive examples of the innovative application of digital signage. The screens in the terminal cover an area of 19,000 square feet. They feature customized creative content (4 hours of original content produced by Moment Factory and content generated by travelers) in intriguing display arrangements that react to the movement of travelers. According to LAX’s description, this is “the greatest immersive multimedia system of any airport in the Americas.”

  1. Emporium Thai

On one of Emporium Thai’s walls are several digital signage, including one that has a live feed from both Instagram and Twitter. On display, there are photos of celebrities like Timothy Olyphant shopping and engaging with local influencers like Jason Okuma, DigitalLA, and TechZulu. Other local influencers featured include DigitalLA and TechZulu. They also use their displays to inform customers of special offers, such as free delivery and catering services.

  1. Churros Calientes

Churros Calientes has capitalized on the power of viral sharing of its churros by combining them with various flavors and ingredients such as Nutella, ice cream, strawberries, gelato, and chocolate. Photos taken by customers can be uploaded to Instagram and tagged with the hashtag #ChurrosCalientes; these images are then displayed on a large digital screen positioned near the cash register. Thousands of photos have been tagged with the business, which is more than the reviews on Yelp; this demonstrates that digital signage content can revitalize your flagging marketing efforts.

  1. Ice Cream Lab

The Beverly Hills-based company initially gained attention in 2013 because of its unique nitrogen-cooled ice cream. On its digital display, the company employs CTA (call-to-action) visuals in which consumers are enticed to share their Ice Cream Lab experiences. The messages are instantaneously broadcast on the digital signage using the Enplug Twitter Wall app, and personnel responds to each user.

At least one of the primary advantages of digital signage is utilized by each company, including creating a “wow factor” for LAX, CTA for Ice Cream Lab, incorporating social media for Churros Calientes, and digital menu boards (DMBs) for CREAM.
