Triple Threat Angelo Williams on Taking Life’s Challenges by Storm

The life of a creative artist who wants to make it in the entertainment industry can be quite challenging, with reality always ready to throw its stumbling blocks in the way. It is not easy to hold onto one’s true passion amid such circumstances. But for Angelo Willaims, it was his grit and hard work that helped him ride out the storm with a success story.

At just 8 years old, Angelo Williams made his debut in the entertainment industry as a hip-hop dancer, becoming part of his school’s dance team. Having discovered early on his passion for the creative arts, Williams sought inspiration from the people he interacted with, and picked up other interests. He found himself particularly drawn to acting and performing- and when a friend’s father who was a tv actor managed to score him his first audition, there was no looking back.

Williams found that, when it came to acting, he was insatiable. With the ambition and drive that would prove to be his biggest asset, Williams kick started his career with multiple gigs, including game shows, TV appearances and short films. Williams booked his first 2 TV gigs right after finishing high school, including VH1 Hip Hop Squares and Judge Hatchett. He also had the opportunity to witness the work of Mario Van Peebles, while he was an extra in his movie “Armed”. The following year, Williams realized that he wanted to learn more about filmmaking, making him sign up for a film festival hosted by AT&T in downtown LA. It was the experience of a lifetime for Williams, and gave him an insight into the world of filmmaking. His team also went on to win 1st place, which served as an incredible confidence boost and a sign he was on the right track.

Williams didn’t just stop there, he wanted to be more explorative with entertainment. So he began making Instagram skits with other popular influencers as a side hobby, but he quickly realized that this was not his thing. According to him, “I knew I wanted to be in control of my passion and my life. A production company and my own set sounds more like it.”. At the same time, Williams needed to be realistic: “I had to temporarily place a passion on hold to find a new passion that would support my real passion”. He started looking to platforms like YouTube, trying to find an avenue which he could monetise to fund his ultimate goal.

Williams was at the end of his rope when  a female rapper, Rubi Rose, reposted something about Forex, a global currency marketplace. Forex has been described as “the largest, most liquid market in the world, with trillions of dollars changing hands every day.” Williams was enamored by this idea, and reached out to her for more information. After doing some of his own research as well as a number of courses, Williams managed to teach himself how to become a profitable Forex trader.

What started as an effort to fund his acting career, became a passion and lucrative avenue for Williams, a testament to his grit, hard work and dynamism. Currently, he is also auditioning for some parts, and concomitantly dropping a Forex course as well as a clothing line in Fall 2023.
