Moving City, the Vancouver-based indie rock band, is excited to announce the release of their latest EP, “SNACKS.” The five-piece band, which started in a small Toronto apartment back in 2013, has quickly gained momentum, creating four albums in just three years. Founding members Andrew Facciolo and Logan Shaw continue to drive the band’s growth, along with Chris Johnson, Madison Norton, and Jan Toren.

From humble beginnings, Moving City has evolved into an inspiring success story. What began as a passion project for two roommates has become a full-fledged music career, with the band now playing notable events such as MRG showcases, Shipyards Festival, and NXNE. In 2022, Moving City was included in Indie 88’s list of top 20 bands to see at NXNE, an impressive feat among over 300 artists.

The band’s latest offering, “SNACKS,” showcases their willingness to push boundaries and experiment with new sounds. The EP will be preceded by a single release in late April, with the full EP set to debut in early June. This follows their well-received albums “2308,” “Little Dogs,” and “Nightflash,” which display the band’s growth and versatility.

Despite numerous challenges, including personal losses and the global pandemic, Moving City has remained dedicated to their craft, writing, and recording music consistently. The band’s unique approach to recording, including capturing natural sounds in remote outdoor locations, has helped to create a distinct sonic identity that sets them apart.

Moving City’s unwavering passion and commitment to their music have resulted in a dedicated fan base and a growing presence on the indie music scene. With “SNACKS” just around the corner and a return to NXNE in 2023, Moving City shows no signs of slowing down.
