VOLÉR DESIGN Elevates Streetwear Fashion by Taking Luxury to New Heights

People are often hindered by their own doubts and the limits they set for themselves. Outside forces may contribute to the lack of confidence and self-doubt as well, but nothing is greater than one’s own mind sabotaging their happiness. VOLÉR LLC aims to send out the message that “YOU are your only limit.” With luxury streetwear, the company seeks to empower its customers to go above and beyond what they would ever think.

VOLÉR DESIGN was named after the French word VOLÉR, which means “to fly.” Living up to its name, the company sets itself higher above the rest as it reimagines what streetwear can be. VOLÉR remains strong in proving its originality and uniqueness in the fashion industry.

Founded by two young, innovative, and creative entrepreneurs, designer Jade Young and photographer Diamond Spruill, VOLÉR DESIGN is claiming its place as the voice of the younger generation. Jade started the brand with the help of her uncle, who is also a fashion entrepreneur. He is the owner of the Southwest Washington D.C brand called BMAD (Brothers Making A Difference). Learning from her uncle, Jade produced 50 shirts to kickstart the brand, and they were sold out in two weeks.

In 2019, Diamond Spruill officially signed to the team. With her expertise in photography, the co-founder was able to elevate VOLÉR DESIGN further by giving it a unique face. Besides being business partners, Jade and Diamond are also good friends, growing up together in the same neighborhood and sharing their love for basketball. “We wanted to stand for something greater than what we were exposed to. In the beginning, we would get together and do photoshoots for VOLÉR collections. Since then, we’ve been working to make this a household name. Where we are from, opportunities are limited. So we decided to create them for ourselves,” shared Jade.

Furthermore, the duo behind VOLÉR DESIGN knows how challenging it is to make a name in the fashion industry, mainly because it has become a saturated field over the past few years. For this reason, the company makes an effort to provide opportunities for upcoming creatives in fashion design, photography, film, graphic design, creative direction, and modeling. Jade and Diamond want to show that there are unlimited chances out there for anyone brave enough to take them. The brand has recently filed for trademark and came across an issue with VANS “OFF THE WALL” last year 2020. Allegedly, The Billion Dollar brand VANS objected to the VOLÉR DESIGN “V” mark, claiming that the brands look too similar. “It’s Time for change. The industry needs something new. It is clear that our marks are opposite. Stories like this happen all the time where bigwigs take from the smaller brands’ culture. This “V” is deeper than fashion” said Jade.

Today, VOLÉR DESIGN works with both local and mainstream artists such as DaBaby, Lil Uzi Vert, Producer Drumma Boy Fresh, Ayo Caine and more. The company also has future projects lined up with Kaash Paige and NLE Choppa. “We are bringing DMV fashion to the fashion industry. VOLÉR produces mood-based collections and content, so we are timeless. We don’t follow the trend; we set the trend,” said Jade.

In five years, VOLÉR DESIGN aims to become 100% digitally-efficient in over eight locations across the globe—Washington, DC, New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, Milan, Tokyo, Paris, Miami, and Las Vegas. The company also plans on continually providing opportunities for creatives in urban areas.
