Wayne Liang on Using His Entrepreneurial Success to Sponsor Numerous Kids around the World

As a 25-year-old, Wayne Liang sees how many young people have had their lives thwarted by different circumstances. His journey as an entrepreneur has given him the opportunity to visit many developing countries, and he’s witnessed firsthand what families in those countries experience. This inspired him to take up the responsibility of sponsoring numerous kids all over the world.

Growing up in a lower-middle class home did not give him all the luxury wealthy children grew up with, but Wayne Liang eventually realized he had privileges that many other children in the world wish they had. So once he got into the entrepreneurship world at the age of 17 and achieved massive success a few years later, he took up philanthropy as one of his core missions. “Growing up, I didn’t realize how blessed I was. My family wasn’t wealthy by any means. We were in the lower-middle class and had enough to pass by. I’d wear my brother’s old clothing and share toys with him, and at times, I’d be a bit upset about that.”

Wayne Liang’s empowerment plans are geared towards making sure young children have clear shots at leading better lives. This explains why he not only gives their basic survival needs, but also arms them with the education they need to stand tall in the ever-evolving world. “I feel an obligation to give back to those in need, by not just providing them with necessities, but also to actively communicate with them and build a life-long relationship with them,” he explained.

Since he began his mission, he has been able to sponsor a few children through Christian organizations in Burkina Faso, Kenya, Indonesia, and many other countries. He describes the experience as fulfilling, and reading letters from the beneficiaries makes it a heartfelt experience for him.

As someone who has built a successful business out of prioritizing customers, he believes people with means should also prioritize the less privileged and prop them up as they struggle to overcome their life challenges. “Instead of giving back to just my customers, my vision is to create a better life for the less fortunate on a large scale. My plan is to continue building schools and sponsoring children for the foreseeable future” he states.

Wayne shares, “I believe one of my life-purposes is to positively impact as many people as I can, and to change the lives of millions. I don’t have a large enough voice for it yet, but I’m hoping one day I’ll be influential enough to inspire others to do the same.”
