In recent years, the global rise in temperature and sea level along with the warming of oceans, shrinking of ice sheets, and increase in severe weather events have signaled that greater strides must be made in order to protect and preserve the planet. Austin Tabor, a 19-year-old passion-fueled individual, hopes to emphasize the importance of creating a concerted effort in addressing this dilemma.
Born on November 12, 2001, Austin Tabor is a purpose-driven personality who aims to raise awareness about how human activity has altered the planet in irrevocable ways. He wants to prove that anyone has the power to make a difference and contribute to the Herculean task of tackling climate change. At the same time, this go-getter wishes to set an example for others to follow, demonstrating that one’s past does not determine the trajectory of their future so long as the person holds the drive to learn from their experiences and grow as an individual.
“I did not have a perfect background,” Austin Tabor shares. “I have been to the psychiatric hospital ten times and felt the cold touch of handcuffs. I also got kicked out of private school and ultimately quit high school, not to mention that I lost three jobs. Despite my downfalls, I am driven to the goal I want to reach.” The young hustler, who is on a journey of growth and self-improvement, has taken on the mission to inspire change in the mindset of countless people. While he seeks to reach his personal goals and evolve into the best version of himself, he plans to go all-out in seeing communities transform into ones that will step up in the face of climate change.
Austin Tabor, who enjoys playing video games, listening to music, learning different languages, and spending time with his family, has found joy and purpose in recycling and cleaning up litter in his free time. Highly cognizant of the negative effects of climate change and the extent to which it could alter the planet and cause displacement, death, and more, he has dedicated himself to standing as a source of information and a voice of reason. “The adverse consequences of climate change are scary to me, and others should take it seriously because if we don’t, things will only get worse from here. I want to be able to have kids one day and watch them grow up without having to see the negative impact of climate change,” he adds.
Deeply aware that the responsibility of reversing — or at the very least, slowing down — the effects of climate change lies in people, Austin Tabor is setting his eyes on spending the years ahead shedding light on this problem. Additionally, he looks forward to owning a business that helps counties, retail companies and other ventures that cannot afford to recycle.
