As a second-generation leader, he learned the importance of having a solid work ethic from his father, Frank Bommarito. Growing up, he helped by doing various tasks such as parking and washing new car deliveries. When he turned 15, he was eventually promoted to the service department to learn the ropes of the business.
While he was learning the ins and outs of the organization, John Bommarito was also an achiever in school. In fact, he graduated in the top two percent of his class in high school. The young man then went on to college taking up Psychology as a premedical degree. Yet despite excelling academically, his love for entrepreneurship and cars never wavered, so he decided to take a break from studying and pursue his passion. But, what initially started as a one-year time off became a lifetime career.
John Bommarito’s journey with Bommarito Automotive Group was highly dynamic and exciting. Ever the intuitive individual, he started handling small responsibilities, and he spent his early days selling Mazdas. As he learned more about the industry, he then transferred to the Nissan location as the Finance Manager, and it did not take long before he became a Sales Manager.
Afterward, the go-getter moved to the newly created Bommarito Cellular as the General Manager. In this new role, he helped the team achieve record-breaking sales every year. These incredible accomplishments are a testament to his expertise as an entrepreneur and his unrivaled skills as a leader.
Because of his exceptional business acumen, John Bommarito was approached by General Motors to purchase an Oldsmobile-Cadillac store that was facing bankruptcy. The knowledgeable businessman had successfully salvaged the dealership, and Mazda was then added to its lineup. Before long, the location became the go-to choice for the automotive needs of residents in St. Peters.
Now, the family of dealerships features a spectacular lineup of car brands such as Cadillac, Mazda, Buick, GMC, Volkswagen, Honda, and Audi among others. On top of that, the venture has also successfully started a NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series team and Xfinity Team with John Bommarito and his partner Jordan Anderson at its helm.
Aside from his extraordinary contributions to Bommarito Automotive Group, the President received several accolades from various industry authorities and award-giving bodies. For example, he was chosen as the winner of the “President Clubs,” a prestigious award from franchises like Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Infiniti, and Volkswagen. In addition, he was handpicked by the President of Mazda, Richard Beattie, to serve on the brand’s National Dealer Council.
John Bommarito is undoubtedly a visionary that has helped push the boundaries of the car dealership industry, especially in Missouri. Moving forward, the inspiring man plans to elevate Bommarito Automotive Group to even greater heights.
