It’s Official: Emir Hamzić Reaches Another Milestone Officially Becoming ATP Tour Coach

The field of tennis is teeming with talent. In fact, there’s a host of young and talented tennis players who merely need the right amount of guidance to make it to the big leagues. Fortunately, tennis superstar Emir Hamzic is here to lend his vast expertise to those that would massively benefit from it.

Emir Hamzic is a prominent tennis player who is famously known for his undefeated singles and doubles record playing at a collegiate level. The esteemed tennis star then eventually went on to win a National Championship and become an All-American, a title bestowed upon the best U.S. athletes in a specific sport.

Nowadays, former professional tennis player Emir Hamzic has gained yet another prominent status adding to his repertoire of outstanding credentials. He has now officially become an ATP-certified coach through his hard work and passion for his craft. Hamzic has gained the opportunity of working alongside tennis legend Nick Bollettieri, and he joins the likes of other tennis legends such as Toni Nadal, Ivan Ljubicic, Magnus Norman, Alberto Castellani, Larri Passos, Jose Perlas, Patrick Mouratoglou, to name a few, recognized by the ATP Tour.

Founded on the 28th of August, 2010, by 49 tour-level tennis coaches in a meeting at the famous Nino Tuscany’s restaurant in New York City, the Global Professional Tennis Coach Association (GPTCA) has consistently worked to further the knowledge of tennis coaches everywhere. President Alberto Castellani explained that the mission of the GPTCA has always been to raise the standard of pro tennis coaching around the globe. This is all in part due to the efforts of the best ATP and WTA Tour coaches who consistently share their knowledge with less experienced coaches.

The GPTCA is an international tennis organization that is fully dedicated to educating, training, and assisting professional tennis coaches who wish to evolve at the ATP World Tour level and those who want to work in women’s pro tennis. The GPTCA is represented in 40 countries through national presidents who are well-known and respected in the field of tennis coaching.

The criteria for becoming an ATP-certified coach is a strict and rigorous one. The criteria are often suitable for the cream of the crop in the field of tennis, most of whom belong to the Top 1,000 players who worked at the ATP/WTA level for at least two consecutive years. There’s also the case for coaches of ITF Top 100 juniors who worked at the same level for at least two consecutive years, coaches of professional teams such as University Federation or league teams who worked at the same level for at least two consecutive years, former ATP/WTA Top 1000 singles players, and former ATP/WTA Top 500 doubles players.

Even before attaining his ATP certification, Emir Hamzic had already worked seamlessly alongside ATP players, ATP coaches, top trainers, and elite athletes who have managed to play NCAA and professionally. Nowadays, Emir Hamzic is currently a high-performance director at Lakeshore SF in Chicago, Illinois.

Emir Hamzic has become a household name in the field of tennis coaching, and he has no plans of stopping any time soon. His eligibility as a coach has increased ten-fold, all thanks to his ATP certification. It’s amazing to think that he started his tennis journey at only 17 years old, coaching others and successfully working with so  many clients, allowing him to develop the best coaching style imaginable. He has become a massive inspiration to those that he teaches, and his constant rise is all but guaranteed in the world of tennis.
