Melanie Koussa on Braving the Storms to Achieve Her Dreams

The distance between dreams and reality is called action. While others spend most of their time thinking about their future, some remarkable people take it upon themselves to mobilize and make their fantasies a reality.

For a goal-getter like Melanie Koussa, it did not take that much time for her to act on her dreams. From the moment she realized her aspirations of becoming a renowned artist, Melanie went over and beyond to reach her goals in one of the most competitive industries around the world.

A singer, pianist, composer, dancer, pre-medical student, part-time hospital employee, Phoenicians band and choir (check them out on Instagram and Facebook) teacher, film director, producer, actress, and Houston Bucket Drumming (check them out on Instagram and Facebook) founder, Melanie Koussa, proves that no dream is too extraordinary for goal-getters like her. She plays the piano, experiments with instruments, and is currently learning the violin. She started singing and playing at the age of 5 and composing at the age of 10.

Ever since she found solace in making and producing art, she grew fonder with the idea of pursuing a career in such a complicated trade. And as she continues to hone her talents and put them on a pedestal for the world to see, Melanie takes on one of the most challenging industries across the globe – in the realms of music and entertainment.

As more and more people have seen the realities of how the entertainment industry works, many have concluded that such an enterprise vehemently fosters a cutthroat environment. But unlike others, Melanie Koussa did not allow these negative perceptions to hinder her from fulfilling her dreams. Instead, these negative presumptions fueled her to persevere more and prove everyone wrong.

Hailing from the dynamic city of Houston, Texas, Melanie Koussa always had a knack for the music and arts. Since Melanie was a child, she would often find herself getting lost in the beauty of the arts. From singing, dancing, and acting to drawing, reading, and writing, Melanie’s wide variety of skills and talents only show her determination to reach the summits of success.

On top of that, Melanie is a multilingual talent as she knows Arabic, English, some Spanish, and knows basic Latin. She is currently learning French, in order to broaden her mind and expand her horizons. She is also directing, producing, and acting in a short film. As a result of her talents, coupled with hard work, this 20-year-old talented Texan lady uses her unparalleled abilities to show the world the beauty of art and music.

Pounding the pavement to share with the world the glory of the arts, Melanie Koussa has continuously expanded her reach by joining numerous organizations that celebrated talents, such as the National Arab Orchestra and Folkoholic Dance Theatre. Melanie has been the lead in musicals, playing as Belle and Dorothy. Proving to be a force to be reckoned in the industry, she decided to create Houston Bucket Drumming and gathered like-minded individuals to promote the beauty of music. Ultimately, her goal is to be able to sing in front of large crowds on stages and act in series and well-known productions on Netflix and the cinemas.

Besides sharing art with the world, Melanie also strives to help the sick by becoming an instrument of wellness in the healthcare industry.

With everything that Melanie Koussa has achieved, she hopes to continue doing what she does and help people embrace their passionate pursuits. Through her story, she wishes to inspire others in chasing their dreams and reach for the stars.
