Walid: How This Moroccan-American is Taking Over the Music Scene With His Distinctive Artistry

Nowadays, being a great artist is not just about having the necessary skills and talents to create great music or belt out some tunes. As a matter of fact, the world’s most legendary icons are known not only for their songs or musical pieces but also for the long-lasting impact they have left on others. One of the emerging stars that have been making significant waves with their artistry is Walid, a Moroccan-American singer-songwriter and music producer whose primary goal is to touch lives with his authentic flair and passion-fueled career.

Heavily determined to become a source of inspiration and empowerment for go-getters across the globe, Walid addressed himself to the challenge of using his music to spark positive change. At the heart of his purpose-driven efforts is the burning desire to create songs that would send meaningful and impactful messages to listeners. In a sea of other talented artists, this rising personality still manages to establish a distinctive mark in the industry, making him one of the must-watch singers.

Born and raised in Morocco, Walid is a self-taught singer and multi-instrumentalist. It was in his hometown where he performed on a few local stages as a singer and guitarist in a pop/rock band at a very young age. On a mission to share his music with the world, he later emigrated to San Diego, California, to pursue his dream of becoming an artist. His biggest influences are prominent artists like Shawn Mendes, South Korean music producer Gray, John Mayer, Billie Eilish, Jessie J, Anees, Chris Brown, and Giveon.

After submitting his new Youtube demo, The Way You Talk, Walid was selected to compete for the chance to open for some of the biggest artists at the Audacy’s (formerly Radio.com) annual We Can Survive 2022 music concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. “I would also want people to support me throughout the voting period to have a chance to actually open at the We Can Survive 2022 concert at the Hollywood Bowl.”

As someone who has always been passionate about his craft, Walid already knew that he wanted to have a career in music. “I love music, and I have dreamed of being an artist since I was a kid. I don’t see myself doing anything else,” he revealed. According to him, music changed the trajectory of his life and paved the way for opportunities that catapulted him to where he is today. “Listening to some artists I love has helped me through some of the hardest parts of my life. I hope that I could bring that kind of help and support to other people who may need it,” he added.

More than just his remarkable talent and incredible voice, Walid is a visionary who aims to inspire, empower, and uplift others with his music. Because of the trials and difficulties that the artist encountered in the past, he understands how challenging it can be for aspirants and dreamers to pursue their passion and accomplish their goals. For this reason, he uses his personal journey as a guide for those struggling to beat the odds and embrace their full potential.
